this little girl is
feelin' I feel...

we love Andrew
Knitty Rocks!

today has been pretty good so far, my mom woke me up at 10am to talk to me, she had thought that i was moving in with lance on august 11th, instead of the 4th (when i'm really moving in with him), and she had gotten really sad that i'm leaving in 2 weeks. 2 weeks. i can't wait. i can understand why she is sad, my sister moved out last year, so i'm the last.

lance and i went to see America's Sweethearts last night, and i really really liked it. i think part of it could be some of the similarities between my relationship with my sister. don't get me wrong, she's not that much like Gwen (Catherine Zeta-Jones), and i am by no stretch of the imagination Julia Roberts, but there were a couple of scenes i laughed really loud at when the rest of the audience just chuckled. what can i say, i'm a sucker for a cute romantic comedy.

American Gods update: I'm reading the book by Neil Gaiman, and i'm about half-way through it. i had no idea that it was such an adult book! there are several scenes that i was just not prepared for. don't get me wrong, it's a good book so far, but wow, there's nothing like being so shocked with a book that you have to put it down for the day.

dustin just found out that he has to move out of his apartment in 9 days. i guess the landlord had given his roomate the notice, and he forgot to show it to dustin. so now, right in the middle of his last year of college when he has a week's worth of homework to do every night, on top of working full time, he has to go apartment shopping and packing and stuff. i feel really bad for him, but there's not much i can do for him aside from being there for him and helping him move if he wants.

oh, i almost forgot!!! i won an ebay auction for the vhs of the BBC miniseries of Neverwhere!!! and, to make things even better, both Good Omens and Neverwhere are going to be made into movies here in the US!!! yay!

speaking of movies, i saw Cats & Dogs with dustin the other night, and it was cute, if somewhat unrealistic, but one of the best parts was the previews...i saw the Harry Potter preview!!! it looks so cool! i have read the first three books, and i own the fourth one, but i am hesitant to start it for fear of not having anything to read after that. J.K. Rowling is releasing the fifth book next year i believe, or maybe late this year, but i gobbled up the first three books in less than three weeks and i can't stand waiting for books in a sequel.

so that is that, sorry about the all-overness of this entry, but i hadn't written in a couple of days, so i figured i'd give you the full update.
