this little girl is
feelin' I feel...

we love Andrew
Knitty Rocks!

well, i know that it is sunday evening, but i have to tell you about saturday...

first of all, i couldn't find my wallet on saturday morning, before i had to go to japanese class. i get up at like 7am, so that i can leave by about 7:30am, to get to class before 9am (it's pretty far away, long story). well, lance and i searched the house up and down 42 times. we looked in my car, he looked in the couch cushions, i even called work to see if it was there.

all locations came up negative.

then i remembered: i took off my jeans friday night before taking my wallet out of the back pocket. i had thrown my jeans on in a rush in the morning...so i looked in the closet (where i keep my clothes away from my cats).

i don't believe it...it was so simple...it was there all along.

ok, so then it was like 8:15am, so i decided to not even bother going to class, cause i'd be late, and i have the syllabus and i know what is gonna be covered next class, so i figured i'd just study extra hard and take a weekend off.

so lance took me up to the mall, so i could salivate over expensive purses and makeup, and so i could deposit my paycheck.

that went off without a hitch, although, we were there for longer than i had wanted, but i got to see dustin, which is always nice.

after that, lance took me out to lunch. my food wasn't that good, but i hadn't been starving, so it was ok. we were there for less than an hour.

we got in the car to leave the resteraunt, and lance puts the key in the ignition...nothing. didn't even try to turn over. the clock had been reset. the power windows wouldn't roll down, and he couldn't put it into neutral. great. so he called his brother, who thankfully didn't live too far away. he jumped us, and said he thought it was the battery, and hopefully not the alternator.

so he followed us home, and as soon as lance turned off his car, he couldn't start it again. great. so brother jumped it again, so lance could put it in the garage to take the battery out.

we went to the first car place, which was closed.

we went to the second car place, which tested the battery and said they could recharge it, but we would be better off just getting a new one.

fine.

except they don't carry the kind for lance's car.

great.

so we went to a third car place, who did have the battery, and bought it, and took it home.

it's the wrong size. too small.

fuck it, lance said, and put it in anyway. he made sure that it wouldn't move around at all and started the car.

which did start this time, thankfully.

just wait, reader, the story is not quite over.

we decided to go see serendipity, mostly cause i wanted to go out and do something, so we decided on the 7:20pm show.

the movie theater was packed with pre-teens with too much makeup on, slutty clothes on, and trying to bum cigarettes off of legal-age people.

and to top that, we finally get up to the ticket window, we find that there are only like 20 seats left, so we will have to sit in the front of the theater.

or we could wait 2 hours and 20 minutes, to the next show.

so lance and i went home, and ended up watching A Midsummer Night's Dream on dvd, and i had a particularly good wine cooler.

glad that day is over!
