well, here i am at work on my afternoon break...and we just found out that the third person in as many weeks has given her notice. none of the three people who are quitting are from my department, but are from the same sort of division, their department is right next to mine. i sort of get the feeling that i'm on a sinking ship and everyone is jumping overboard, and it's not looking good for the rest of the people...
oh well, i'll find out soon enough, won't i? supposedly sometime this week, but i am growing impatient already. can't do anything about it, though, just sit and wait until i get the phone call that could change my life.
on a different note, i've just finished Lemony Snicket's fifth book, The Austere Academy. i know they are kids books, but they really are quite entertaining, it's just that all 13 of them are not quite out yet, so after i get done with #8, i'll have to wait until october until #9 comes out. story of my life. i find a series of books i really enjoy, then have to wait until the author publishes the next in the series (case in point: Lemony Snicket's A Series of Unfortunate Events, JK Rowling's Harry Potter #5, Jasper Fforde's Lost in a Good Book...and the list goes on).
meanwhile, i should really think about ideas to write my own stories instead of bumming around the internet trying to entertain myself, don't you think?
